WoW Radio suggested to Hip-Hop group "Captain Dan and the Scurvy crew" that they record a WoW-themed rap track for their new album. They did, and the result is this.

Whether Blizzard can actually achieve its plan of releasing a new World of Warcraft expansion every year remains to be seen. Wrath of the Lich King opens up the new continent of Northrend and brings with it an increase in level cap (to 80), the introduction of Hero classes with the Death Knight, siege weaponry and destructible buildings in Battlegrounds and further additions to keep fans hooked forever.

A while back we hinted that we were working on implementing Guild banks into the game, which was a feature originally intended for The Burning Crusade that was postponed for a later patch: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=894609 46&sid=1 A lot of work has gone underway since then and now we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Guild bank feature is still being worked on, however it is currently scheduled for release in the future patch 2.3.

After witnessing all the choreographed dance moves, Murloc-mimicking, and creative costume pageantry, the cream of the crop has been justly rewarded. here is a preview now available for the new World of Warcraft expansion to tantalize the tastebuds of the rabid WOW fan base. And while game publisher and developer Blizzard hasn't gone into great detail about the contents of the new game, it has released some very interesting tidbits.

There are a lot of things still being worked out with the Death Knight class such as specific spell abilities. Unlike a traditional caster type however, a Death Knight’s spell power comes from runes that are etched into their blade. Think Warcraft III when you think about the possibilities of abilities for the Death Knight.... read on!

Blizzplanet has reported that the World of Warcraft comic is now official and on the DC Comics website. The new series will be written by Walter Simonson with art by Ludo Lullabi and Sandra Hope, a Cover by Jim Lee and a first issue variant cover by Samwise Didier. You can purchase the comic right now on the DC Comics Website with the first issue set to hit shelves November 14th, 2007. The subscription will cost $23.99 for 12 months.

China's drive to impose social and political "harmony" on the internet has claimed a new set of victims: undead skeletons. Chinese players of World of Warcraft, a hugely popular online role-playing game, have expressed outrage after their 'undead skeleton' characters were suddenly clad in new flesh, apparently in order to comply with a secret government ban on bare bones. Nuts.

The Midsummer Fire Festival has come and gone -- but a group of enthusiastic readers in our It Came from the Blog guild got together celebrate the last night of the festival by running the Eastern Kingdoms festival quest. Our trip to the Eastern Plaguelands, the Hinterlands, Searing Gorge, and Blasted Lands was an absolute deathfest at our levels (ranging from 7 to the 30s)...

I wrote this Google gadget Wednesday during some server downtime. It displays all the data that is on the main WoW status page. The background color changes when the status changes. You can filter the servers in the list by clicking the name and refreshing the page. If you remove the filtered servers you get the full list again. Over at the Alleria server in World of Warcraft, the Risen guild has pulled off a world first. After a lot of work, their guild leader Failure has finished creating the legendary caster weapon, Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian. Who'd they have to beat to get it?
