There's no doubt that the two hottest MMORPGs (if not the two most popular games) at the moment are World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. Both games offer an ever expanding world for players to explore with thousands of quests to complete, hundreds of monsters to kill and a seemingly infinite amount of other activities. But which is the better game?

The 2.3 PTR was updated again, which is very strange, Saturday isn\'t typically a day that Blizzard patches the PTR, so maybe they\'re in a hurry to get it to live servers so they can move on to testing 2.4. The most immediate change seen today is the Season 3 Ret Paladin set changes (Scaled Plate). All of the Ignore Armor and Spell Damage effects were removed, and those points allocated to Strength instead.

Blizzard have added a lot of changes to the patch 2.3 notes.
There have been changes to all classes, as well as some Raids and Dungeons, including Karazhan: Karazhan Chess Event: The Dust Covered Chest can now only be looted by players who are nearby when the event is completed successfully. In addition, the chest now contains 2 Badges of Justice for each player present.

There has been a recent spate of Spamming and Trolling on the official forums (yes, more than usual), and it seems to be coming from Shamans, who are protesting about the state of their class.

Blizzard has released the 2.3 patch for WoW, and it’s loaded with changes.
Not only does it introduce a brand new 10-man raid instance named Zul¡’Aman (it’s over in the Ghost lands), it loads in a ton of changes to classes as well. This patch also

Blizzard has lead the way in the field of MMOs World of Warcraft, and 9.3 million users prove that not everyone is against paying to play an online game. But some game developers manage to be successful without charging a subscription. Guild Wars, for example, has done extremely well by making its money from selling expansion packs roughly twice a year.

So by now most gamers (and actually most of the world) are acquainted with World of Warcraft and the subsequent expansion Burning Crusade. The game has about 9 million subscribers if Blizzard’s ads are to be believed. That\'s the entire population of North Carolina.

Happy birthday to World of WarCraft: The Burning Crusade. To celebrate, Blizzard is giving away free trials for both the expansion and original game. If, after X number of days you want to keep playing, all you need to do is pay for an account (and maybe rehab down the road, but that's another story).

How does your guild do it? Formal or casual? And does your guild's style work for you or are you enduring it to get what you want from the raid?
