Players of the Chinese MMORPG, King of the World, may have found themselves unable to log into their accounts this past weekend. The game’s publisher, Aurora Technology, has apparently frozen the accounts of all male players choosing to play as a female characters. Now, only female players can play female characters, and they’re required to prove their gender via a webcam. Females wanting to play males are still allowed though.

According to data from the Xfire community and data application for the month of September, average hours spent by users who play World of Warcraft daily have dropped 18 % since August. These findings correlate to the overall drop in MMO gameplay with other top ten titles.

We all know that the mmorpg community are spending all their big bucks on virtual items and currencies. Lord of the Rings online is one of the newest mmorpgs out and many players are asking whether they will get in trouble in Turbine if they buy LOTRO gold from sellers. I believe selling gold, items, accounts and powerleveling should be legal, but that is just my opinion.

You'll normally collect more adena if you were to hunt solo rather than grouped. The amount collected is usually less unless your character is really gimp and are unable to solo mobs on its own. Ideally you should target green/blue con mobs. Although

Mark over on the BBC has posted his latest WoW related article entitled When Work Becomes a Game. Academics have been talking about how virtual worlds can help in the workplace for some time now, especially since WoW became so popular.
