Hortus announced this morning that the PTRs were going offline, concluding public testing for patch 2.2. To me, this means we're going to see patch 2.2 coming our way very soon -- perhaps as early as next week! However, we have known Blizzard to close the PTRs weeks in advance of an official patch release, so a final date continues to elude us.

The Ashbringer, who's lore is often expounded on by theorizing fans, is probably the single most talked-about item in the melee scene. Because of its rather incomplete history, people believed that the story would continue in Outland, for players were advised of another Mograine son within World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade territory that could aid in attaining the sword in its uncorrupted state.

Yep, the madness is spreading. Some guy has just spent almost £5,000 to buy a souped up character off another player in the online roleplaying phenomenon, World of Warcraft. The character, a rogue, came wielding the much prized Twin Blades of Azzinoth [above], which drop off big baddie Illidan Stormrage from the The Black Temple. As if you didn’t know.

WoW Radio suggested to Hip-Hop group "Captain Dan and the Scurvy crew" that they record a WoW-themed rap track for their new album. They did, and the result is this.

Want some real life epics? The J!NX Clothing Company has jusust announced a new line of t-shirts designed for classes from the World of Warcraft. The current additions to the J!NX WoW line are Shaman, Paladin, Priest, and Druid. Now players of those classes can show off their love for their class of choice. Inscription is an upcoming primary profession in the expansion World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. It will allow players to craft scrolls which can be used to augment the various skills and abilities in the game. Blizzard has posted the continuation of the plot behind this latest game expansion, with chapter 2 narrating the tragic tale of Arthas, the Paladin-turned-Death Knight who currently bears Frostmourne.

There are a lot of things still being worked out with the Death Knight class such as specific spell abilities. Unlike a traditional caster type however, a Death Knight’s spell power comes from runes that are etched into their blade. Think Warcraft III when you think about the possibilities of abilities for the Death Knight.... read on!

Blizzard Poster/ Community Manager Drysc said that "we're [Blizzard] madly in love with the PC and Mac platforms, and there are no plans at this time to bring World of Warcraft to any other platforms." Based on that statement, it looks like we're going to have to stick with our regular setup of playing the game on our PCs and Macs.
