Easy and profitable way to get enchanting mats: you can buy the Cookie for 2g and 21s, in best case you’ll get almost 23g.

Once every 24 hours, through Enchanting (not Alchemy) you’ll be able to split a Void Crystal into two Large Prismatic Shards. This is through a new recipe that’s being added in 2.4. This helps reduce the exorbitant prices currently being seen for Large Prismatics, and helps raise the value of the Void Crystals. While this is the only change planned in 2.4 to help the Void Crystal prices, we’re still looking at the possibility of additional ‘help’ for Void Crystal value in the future.

These leaves me stuck at a crossroads. Should I drop my 300 enchanting for mining, or should I just suck it up and pay my way through the grind for blacksmithing? I want to lean towards mining, because it can be a great source of revenue. At the same time, I know how to work the auction house with dis-enchanting to make gold. Also, it sucks not being able to disenchant soul bound items that you finish using.

This is a money-making guide I made for either new players who are looking to get familiar with the ways of making good money in WoW, or for players who, after playing for some time still don't have enough money to buy their epic mount (yes, there are more than you would think). I wrote this primarily for my guild-mates and friends, but I hope many other people can benefit from it. I plan to release further volumes that go into more advanced topics.
