According to a article on redorbit PC Game Spending Hit $1.4 Billion in U.S. The article went on to say that world of warcraft contributed to about $292 million of that spending..

Notice Blizzard has 292 million of that in subscriptions to WoW alone, thats insane! That equates to roughly 20% of PC Game sales for last year going for WoW subscriptions, eh .... wow!
